Water quality
Since coffee is mostly water, water that tastes bad will result in coffee
that tastes bad. Hence try to filter your water, or use bottled or filtered
water to avoid the unpleasant flavor often found in regular tap water.
Water temperature
Boiling temperatures and prolong heating deteriorate the flavor of the
coffee and will result in coffee that is bitter in taste. Thus water at
about 200 F produces the best result, and can be achieved by boiling the
water and leaving it to cool for a couple of minutes.
Freshness is key
Coffee will start to break down shortly after three minutes on a warmer,
and usually turns bitter in taste in about 20 minutes. Reheating coffee
should always be avoided. Hence enjoy your coffee right away!!! |
